About Me

Currently I am serving as the President of Soroptimist of Bend with a great supporting Board and members!  Originally from Cleveland, OH (GO BROWNS!), my husband and I relocated to Bend, OR upon retirement in April of 2011. We have two daughters, Christina, who lives with her husband and dog-child, Dozer, in Belmont, CA, and Jessica, who lives with her husband and dog-child, Peppers, in Chicago, IL.  We do have a third dog-child, Cassie, who lives with us in Bend!  Coming from a long line of quilters, I was fortunate to find a part-time job at BJ's Quilt Basket in Bend where I am meeting a lot of new people while supporting my fabric-buying habit.  Soroptimist of Bend has not only welcomed me into a prestigious organization with a 70 year history in Bend, but has also provided me an opportunity to feel at home through building relationships with our members and partner organizations to meet needs in our community.

About Me

I have been a Soroptimist since 1984. I ahve served on may committtees and have been President of SI Medford and also SI Bend.  This is such an incredible organization of women helping others and it gives me great pleasure to be a member.  Some years have been rough trying to fit in work as well as opportunities to serve our communitees, and this organizatoin understands and allows for those challenges.  The friends I have made here have become lifelong friends and I'm thankful for each woman I have met.
